A study has come out with a startling revelation—men and women who had a few nuts daily reduced their risk of death by 20%, from any cause over the next 30 years versus those who didn’t eat nuts. The study performed by a team of researchers from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Harvard School of Public Health was published in the famed New England Journal of Medicine.
If it so happens that nuts are classified as an incredibly pricey pharmaceutical, it would trigger a flurry of television commercials, media news reports; & a million drug company sales representatives would flock in every goddamn physician’s office within a few hours. Details about this miracle food would be kept a secret, because it’s not a treated, refined, or prepackaged menu thing that manufacturers can manoeuvre for earning filthy profits.
Scientists analyzed a huge cohort from two big, well documented, prolonged studies comprising 76,464 women from the Nurses’ Health Study performed between 1980 and 2010, plus the Health Professionals’ Follow-up Study comprising data on 42,498 men from 1986 to 2010.
Researchers concluded that individuals having one serving of tree nuts less than one time per week saw a 7% cut in mortality (the variety of tree nuts consumed were walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, macadamias, pecans, cashews, pistachios and pine nuts). Those having one serving one time per week saw a 11% cut; two to four times in a week, a 13% cut, five or six times in a week, a 15% cut, and finally a seven or more times in a week, a 20% cut in death rate.
Cut in risks were observed across an array of highly lethal chronic illnesses like cancer, heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Scientists deduced that a cut in death rates was due to upswing in cholesterol ratios and shrinking of oxidative stress, inflammation, adiposity and insulin resistance
As per a scientific validation eating raw nuts daily cuts risk of death from all causes by a massive 20%. If it turns out true it would be a big booster for the millions of men and women who are at a risk of losing their lives, succumbing to a wide variety of illnesses.
