Men can avert heart attacks by making five simple lifestyle changes, say researchers. They need to lose belly fat, cut back on alcohol, walk for 40 minutes daily, say no to smoking, and double intake of fruits and veggies. A study done on 20,271 men showed four out of five heart attacks could have been averted by following these five simple steps. Making just one change cut down their risk by up to a third — and by making all five changes they were able to bring down the risk by 86 per cent.
